One of the hardest things to decide is which e-commerce solution your going to use. All have good and bad points. We chose three different solutions to cover our and our clients needs.

For our domain name pages we choose the more standard e-commerce solution which is thru a major bank. It allows anyone to immediately purchase domain names. We used this here because domain names go so fast that any other method would be useless and we do not care who purchases them as they are non-refundable.

For our other services we choose PayPal, a third party solution. It allows only legitimate clients to purchase from us. We do not have any of the clients personal information which protects both the client and ourselves. The client is guaranteed their purchase thru PayPal. PayPal also has it's own shopping cart program and they are adding features on a regular schedule.

Many people no matter what online security you offer still don't trust purchasing online. There are more of these people than you may think. So for these folks we offer a purchase by phone option. It's about as expensive as using PayPal but much less expensive using a bank for online purchasing.
